This is the first state visit by a Chinese president in 67 years since the two countries established diplomatic ties.

Mar 31 Li met with a delegation of U.S. members of Congress.

The delegation was organized by the Aspen Institute. Li said China will strengthen its efforts in creating a fairer market environment for competition and improve the protection of intellectual property rights.

 

  Mar 30 Li chaired an executive meeting of the State Council.

The meeting focused on new policies to boost innovation, a development plan for Chengdu-Chongqing city cluster, and adopted a draft version of a national defense and transportation act.

 

  Mar 29 Li sent a written instruction to the award ceremony to the China Quality Award.

 

  Mar 28 Li spoke at a meeting on clean governance.

 

    Li sent condolences to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif after the Lahore attack on Sunday.
